Hip Release Ball

Elongated pressure
with comfort

The Hip Release Ball releases the psoas, piriformis, and general glute region. Release these key muscles in your hip and set your foundation right.

Difficult problems Easy solutions

When the hip flexor region tightens, it orients the hip in a position that makes the piriformis and deep hip rotators tight as well. The Hip Release Ball gives you the ability to release tension in both areas, and improve the balance and alignment of your core by effectively keeping both sides of the hip and pelvis relaxed.

It's not just a ball

All it takes is a ball. It's as easy as it gets. Used by a PT with decades of clinical evidence on the correct technique and sequence of release, your health and recovery has finally been simplified.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Orbit differ from other muscle therapy balls?

The Orbit is approximately 4 inches in diameter. This makes it larger than a tennis or lacrosse ball. Unlike those smaller balls, the Orbit is the perfect size able to get deep enough into your body to reach the general area of the psoas muscle.

The Orbit has the ideal clinically informed density, not too hard and not too soft. This allows you to both target and release this hard-to-address region.

Can the Orbit be used on other areas of the body?

Yes. Feel free to experiment to discover what's best for you. Check out your glute area on the back side of your hips. The piriformis and other deep hip rotator muscles are commonly tight alongside a tight psoas and iliacus.

How is the Orbit different from the Mark?

The Orbit is used to target the psoas muscle only. However, for best results, both parts of the hip flexor (the iliacus and the psoas) must be released. Because of its round shape, the Orbit is not used to target the iliacus muscle on the inside of the pelvic bone.

The Orbit is the perfect companion to the Mark, a tool designed for the psoas and iliacus. After warming up the psoas with the Orbit, use the Mark to apply firm, deep and precise pressure to both your psoas and iliacus muscles.

Additionally, using the Orbit to release tension in the piriformis and glute region will address the tension in these muscles as a result of your tight hip flexors.

Will the Orbit address my pain?

Tension on the front and back side of the pelvis can have a huge impact throughout the entire body because it can twist your core. This affects not only your back and hips, but your lower and upper body as well.

The Orbit, in conjunction with the Mark, Band, and the recommendations in the book Tight Hip Twisted Core, has helped thousands of people with:

- Lower back pain
- SI joint pain
- Hip pain
- Hip impingement
- Sciatica or piriformis syndrome
- Knee pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Bunions
- Disc injuries
- Scoliosis
- Anterior pelvic tilt
- Twisted pelvis
- Leg length discrepancy
